The Girls in Maths Day provides an opportunity to meet and talk with women who are active and successful in mathematics.

On Thursday, November 8th Queen Mary University of London organized a test event on Girls in Maths theme.

The lecture is for students that identify as female and/or non-binary and will include two taster lectures, a transitioning to university talk, and a careers talk. You must be studying A-level Maths or about to enter A-level Maths to be eligible to attend.

The speakers of the event will be Lei Fang and Katy Clough and they will discuss how maths can have an impact on girls. The Girls in Maths Day provides an opportunity to meet and talk with women who are active and successful in mathematics. Participants from previous meetings have found this opportunity useful and beneficial. The events are intended to help early career women mathematicians when considering the next stages in their careers and typically have included mathematical talks combined with panel discussions, social opportunities, and networking.
